Community Rules
The professional and safety standards expected from every member.
Effective 11 August 2026
Kyorabo should be a trustworthy place to meet collaborators, students, supervisors and mentors. These standards apply to profiles, opportunities, messages and attachments.
Be authentic
Represent your identity, institution, career stage and work honestly. Do not impersonate a person or organisation, fabricate credentials or post deceptive funding and employment offers.
Respect boundaries
Keep communication relevant and professional. Do not harass, threaten, shame, discriminate against or repeatedly contact someone who has declined interaction.
Keep people and research safe
Do not share private or confidential information without permission. Do not request passwords, financial credentials or unsafe off-platform payments. Do not post illegal, exploitative, sexually explicit or violent content.
No spam or manipulation
Do not mass-message members, run automated scraping, manipulate engagement, distribute malware or use Kyorabo primarily for unrelated promotion.
Report and block
Use the menu on a profile, opportunity or conversation to report concerning behaviour or block a member. Blocking removes the connection from your experience and prevents future matching.
Safety reports are reviewed as soon as possible, with a target initial response within 24 hours.
