Privacy Policy

How Kyorabo collects, uses, shares and deletes personal data.

Effective 11 August 2026

This policy explains what information Kyorabo uses to help researchers and students discover professional connections, communicate and share opportunities.

Information you provide

We process account details such as your name, email address and sign-in provider, plus the profile information, photo, research links, interests, languages and preferences you choose to add.

We also store your likes, passes, saves, matches, messages and selected chat attachments, opportunities, reports and blocks so the service can work as expected. If you use Kyorabo Premium, we process your subscription or lifetime-access status and purchase history, but we do not receive your full payment-card details.

How information is used

We use this information to create your account, recommend potential connections, enable mutual matches and private conversations, show opportunities, prevent abuse and improve reliability.

If you explicitly enable Usage analytics, Kyorabo sends limited anonymous product-interaction events to PostHog Cloud EU. These events use an installation-scoped identifier and do not include your Supabase account ID, profile content, search terms, messages, filenames or another member identity.

RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information to activate Premium, restore purchases, prevent purchase abuse and keep access in sync across devices.

Feedback and feature suggestions you submit are stored privately with your Kyorabo account in Supabase and are not copied to PostHog.

Kyorabo does not sell personal information and does not use profile or message content for third-party advertising.

Visibility and sharing

When your profile is discoverable, other signed-in members may see the profile fields you publish. Messages and chat attachments are available only to the participants in a matched conversation. You can hide your profile, block another member or delete your account at any time.

Service providers may process limited information for us. Supabase provides authentication, database, feedback and file storage services. RevenueCat processes purchase history, a Kyorabo account identifier and Premium entitlement status. PostHog processes optional analytics in the European Union. Apple and Google process sign-in and store transactions under their own privacy policies.

Security and retention

We use access controls and encrypted network connections designed to protect account data. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We keep information while your account is active and as reasonably needed for safety, dispute resolution or legal obligations. Deleting your account removes your profile and associated app content from active systems, subject to limited backups and records we must retain.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, change discovery visibility and delete your account inside the app. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights available where you live.

Usage analytics is off by default. You can grant or withdraw consent at any time under You, Usage analytics. Turning it off stops future analytics collection on that installation.

You can restore purchases or manage an active subscription from the Kyorabo Premium screen. Deleting your Kyorabo account does not itself cancel an App Store subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled in your App Store account settings.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Kyorabo develops. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through the contact information associated with your account.
